The lenses on my Sony Cybershot Dsc-w90 go in and out?

There is something wrong with my digital camera.I turn it on and the lense just go in and out and the screen tells me to turn the power on and off again.I can review pictures but not take them. what do i do? where do I call ?

It might be jammed gears. Try “GENTLY” bang it several times on solid but CARPETED floor (with camera off and lens retracted). Works for some.
